San Diego police homicide detectives have been notified of the arrest of the suspect in a fatal shooting in the Swan Canyon neighborhood earlier this month.

Police have been seeking Samuel Alexander Webster in connection with the murder on Dec. 10 of Devin Lamarr Johnson.

A 34-year-old Grand Prarie, Texas man was arrested on a felony warrant in connection with an arson-related murder early Sunday at the San Ysidro port of entry, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers said.

John Hummel entered the San Ysidro border station as a pedestrian around 6 a.m. on Sunday, the CBP said, and an officer interviewing him turned up information that he was a missing person and considered armed and dangerous.

A 26-year-old man on the run from federal authorities for more than a year appeared in federal court in San Diego this week to answer charges related to mortgage fraud, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.

Lucette Montane was arraigned Wednesday on a 2008 indictment in federal court after surrendering to U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials at the San Ysidro port of entry.
